OBITUARY: CHUB LAMB, 70, SUCCUMBS FRIDAY, FUNERAL TUESDAY Alger -- William (Chub) Lamb, 70, of McGuffey, died 11 a.m. Friday at Dayton Veterans Hospital. He had been a crane operator at Lima - Baldwin - Hamilton for 31 years. Mr. Lamb was born Feb. 5, 1893 in Belle Center to William & Martha (Smith ) Lamb. He was married to Ella Sheldon, Sept 14, 1920, and she survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Clark and Mrs. Luanna Carey both of Kenton, Mrs. Rose Allen and Mrs. Dorothy Fry both of McGuffey, a son, Sgt. Billy G. stationed in Germany, a sister Mrs. Alma Yoder of Lakeview and a brother, John of Newago, MI. He was a veteran of WWI and a member of the VFW Post 3333, Kenton. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Alger Hanson Funeral Home with Rev. William Welker officiating. Burial will be in McDonald-Fairview Cemetery.
